Supervision

Heather offers professional supervision for P-LPC counselors in the state of Mississippi. As a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider, she can supervise both in person and across the state utilizing confidential EHR software.

Finding the right supervisor can help set the trajectory for your career in counseling.  Some of my values as a supervisor are:

What is your schedule like?

Currently, I offer supervision and consultation on Mondays and Fridays. Hours may vary on these days. I also have limited availability on Wednesday mornings. If you know you need a specific time apart from these, I will not be a good fit for you at this time.

How much does supervision cost?
  • Peer/Group supervision is $75 per hour.
  • Individual supervision is $100 per hour. 
Can you help me even though I’m in another state?

Currently Heather is allowed to supervise individuals working towards Mississippi state licensure.  Also, due to state boards having different requirements, reaching out to a supervisor in your state would be more beneficial for you regarding the licensure process. However, if you are moving to this area from out of state, finding a supervisor in MS will be one of the top priorities in your licensure process. If you are out of state, already have a great supervisor, and simply need quick support regarding one of my specialty areas, please review the consultation option below!

How do I start?

To start the process, please reach out to Heather via email. It’s important for a supervisor and supervisee to have a secure join (a little like with our clients) – I’m sure you are aware how our work suffers without it! After reaching out, expect to receive a link to some initial documentation. This information will help us determine if this commitment would be a good fit for us both moving forward. After completion of documentation, please expect a follow up response from me within 72 hours.

Heather is Gottman trained and a pre-marital Prepare/Enrich Facilitator. She has extensive couples counseling experience and has worked with couples throughout the wide spectrum from relationship maintainance to the separation process.

Play Therapy (Speciality)

Heather is a Registered Play Therapist, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and a APT Approved Provider of Play Therapy Continued Education.

Families & Children

Heather is an LPC, but her background and education is in Marriage & Family Therapy. She utilizes family systems theory and supports that we all are a part of a family, community, and wider culture/systems that play a significant role in our mental health. She has extensive experience providing parent support, sandtray, experiential interventions, and attachment work to help facilitate family unit healing.

I offer private consultation for students, peers, and pre-licensed counselors in our field. I have benefited countless times from consults with practitioners- we all have skills and knowledge to share! Does scheduling with you mean you're my supervisor?

Scheduling a consult is very similar to supervision, but does not count towards your licensure. Your supervisor is the person you enter a professional contracted relationship with to complete the licensure process (in your state). Consults would absolutely count for indirect hours, however.

What is your schedule like?

How much does consultation cost?
  • Consultation is $35 per 30mins and $70 per hour.
  • All transactions go through my confidential EHR system.
